Mad Marinara Sauce

Mad Marinara Sauce

1 medium white onion, finely chopped
2 large cloves elephant garlic, finely minced
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/3 cup vegetable broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chiffonade
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely minced
1 generous tablespoon Fig and Fire Balsamic Reduction
Freshly ground smoked pepper and sea salt, to taste (I was rather LIBERAL with the amazing smoked pepper)

Heat vegetable broth over medium-high heat in a large skillet, bringing broth to a simmer.  Add onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes, cooking until the onion turns translucent.  Add tomato paste, continuously stirring until fully incorporated.  Add tomatoes.  Reduce heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer for 15 minutes, for flavors to fully meld.
Remove from heat and stir in the remaining ingredients.  Viola.  Mad good.
