Lilac Sugar

½ cup fresh lilac blossoms
2 cups cane sugar

 

Mix the flower blooms with the sugar and store in a sealed, airtight container for several days (or weeks) to allow the lilac fragrance and flavor to “essence” the sugar.

 

Use in your favorite spring and summer baked goods.
