The Caipirinha


The Caipirinha 

2 fresh limes
1/4 raw cane sugar cup sugar
ice cubes
6 oz. Avuá Cachaça Prata  
2 oz. soda water

 

Quarter 1 lime lengthwise, then cut each quarter in half crosswise and divide pieces between 2 (6-ounce) glasses.


Add 1 Tbs. sugar to each glass, then muddle lime pieces by pounding and pressing with a wooden spoon (or muddler) until sugar is dissolved. 

 

Fill each glass with ice and add 3 oz. cachaça to each, stirring well. 

 

Top each with 1 oz. soda water.
