PB&J Sriracha Sammy

I adore the amalgamation of sweet and spicy. Add some salt and crunch to that, and I’m in heaven.

Over Christmas, I had a conversation with my in-laws about how my father-in-law recently started adding sriracha sauce to his morning toast regime.

I was thrilled.

Granted, I love this man, but we don’t often seem to have a lot in common.

The fact that he found himself experimenting with the “Asian” inspired flavors of peanut butter with sriracha and a hint of sweet “jelly,” and enjoyed the flavor combination made my heart sing.

Thus, I found myself compelled to create a blog – post —- my own version, of course, dedicated to his idea.

And now, all I’m thinking about is a hearty bowl of Pad Thai.

I think I’ll have THIS for breakfast and then head for creamy, peanut buttery, sweet and salt Pad Thai Noodles down the street for dinner! ðŸ˜‹

PB&J Sriracha Sammy

2-3 slices homemade sourdough bread, toasted
3 Tbs. crunchy peanut butter
2 Tbs. Bon Maman Strawberry Preserves (ONLY the best)
1 tsp. sriracha sauce
1/2 tsp. crunchy, flaked sea salt

After slicing and toasting the homemade bread, slather with generous amounts of crunchy peanut butter.

Next, top with the Bon Maman preserves. (Trust me, don’t skimp on this brand – NO jelly, only gourmet preserves).

Dab with dots of sriracha sauce and then sprinkle with crunchy salt.

Serve open-faced or as sammies.

Y.U.M.M.Y!!!!!

This is THE BOMB ðŸ’£ðŸ’¥ of PB&J.
