Everything Bagel Bread

You know how bagels are glossy and crunchy on the outside, but still dense and chewy on the inside. And, you know how we all LOVE the intense flavor, texture, and mess galore of an “Everything Bagel,” seasoned with all sorts of goodness?

Well, think about capturing this amazingness at home, with rustic no-knead bread, piping hot, sliced to perfection, exuding the fresh aromas of baked goods right from your own oven.

You’ll never “knead” (need) to head to your favorite bagel shop again.

It’s all right here, right now.

Everything Bagel Bread

2 tsp. sea salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. dry active yeast

1/4 tsp. sea salt
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups lukewarm water
2-3 Tbs. butter, softened

4 Tbs. Everything Bagel Seasoning

In a large ceramic bowl, whisk together the salt, sugar, yeast, and salt until well combined.

Sift in the flour.

Stir in the lukewarm water until everything is well combined, again.

Loosely cover and let rise to double in size for several hours.

Grease an oven-safe bowl, Dutch oven, or bread pan with 2 Tbs. butter.

Sprinkle in Everything Bagel Seasoning, liberally covering all surfaces of the vessel.

Transfer the risen dough to the prepared baking vessel, using floured hands or forks.

Let rise again, to just about brimming.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Bake the loaf for 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 375 degrees and bake for an additional 25 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from oven and cool thoroughly before inverting the baking dish and transferring to a cutting board to slice and serve, slathered with butter, cream cheese, or whatever you desire. ðŸ¤¤
