Watermelon Lime Slush
It’s hot.
It’s really hot.
Sometimes we get hot and bothered.
Thus, the Chinese medicine solution (via my best friend Valerie) is a cooling Watermelon Lime Slush.
Watermelon is considered sweet and cold (Yin) in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and enters the heart, stomach, and bladder meridian pathways. It’s fantastic for reducing summer heat, promoting urination, and quenching thirst.
Limes are used to help draw out negative Qi (Energy) from the body and uplift mood and spirits during bouts of stress or anxiety.
What could be better?
Truly – NOTHING!
Watermelon Lime Slush
half one large watermelon (ice-cold)
juice of 1 fresh lime
1 Tbs. honey (optional – depending on the sweetness of the melon and your taste)
NO ice. Chinese Medicine doesn’t believe in ice
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and whir until slushy.
Slurp, sip, and savor.
