Shallot Spinach Savory Puff Pastry Tart









The savory combination of fresh shallots and spinach with the tang of blue cheese is baked into a flaky and buttery pastry for this mouthwatering tart – breakfast, lunch, appetizer, dinner?

Shallot Spinach Savory Puff Pastry Tart

1 roll crescent dough
1 Tbs. olive oil
2 large shallots, sliced lengthwise
½ cup fresh spinach
2 Tbs. crumbled blue cheese
2 tsp. fresh thyme

 

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

 

Divide the pastry dough into four rectangles.

 

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drizzle four quadrants with olive oil.
Sprinkle the oil with salt and pepper.
Top each quadrant with sliced shallots, fresh spinach, blue cheese, and thyme.

 

Top each mound with one pastry rectangle. Press the edges of the pastry down with a fork.

 

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

 

Remove from the oven and cool until ready to invert to serve.

 

Plate with thinly sliced prosciutto.
